Hi, I’m Fredrik Worren!

Some of you may know me better as “Krusedulll” on social media. The nickname comes from the Norwegian word for “scribble,” which perfectly describes my favorite shading technique. I love drawing portraits and have been committed to “a face a day” for a long time. Almost every night I scribble down a portrait in my small sketchbook or on larger paper. I also make timelapse videos of my drawings, which I share on social media—videos that millions have watched.

My preferred way of drawing is freehand. That means I don’t rely on tools, grids, or tracing. I draw directly on paper from observation. I typically use only a ballpoint pen or markers—no pencils, no erasers, not even for the outline.

I’ve always loved helping people reach their potential, and my professional career has been built around that in various roles—social worker, teacher, career advisor, and leader. Now, I teach others how to create magic with a pen: drawing anything from observation, especially portraits. In this course, I’m here to make sure you enjoy every step of creating your own drawings.
